Patient Testimonial Questions

Patient testimonials are important, not only because they help gauge patient satisfaction, but also because they are a persuasive marketing tool. Video testimonials are especially effective and can be used in a variety of marketing contexts. Below is a template that includes questions you can ask when recording patient testimonials.

  1. Please state your full name and please spell it for camera

  2. Use three words to describe the practice

  3. Prior to having your treatment done, why did you want it? *Treatments: Invisalign®,  Dental Implants, Veneers, TMD, Sleep Apnea, Crowns & Bridges, Dentures, etc.

  4.  Follow up question: Was there something specific that bothered you the most?

  5. How has the service or treatment you received changed your life?

  6. Was there anything that may have stopped you from getting treatment in the past?

  7. Why did you choose Dr. XYZ?

    • What is different about them?

  8. If you knew someone looking for a new dentist, what would you tell them and why?

Feel free to include any other questions that come up organically while you're recording the testimonial, and don’t worry if some questions don’t work out well for certain patients. If you need to ask a question more than once, that’s fine too — bloopers can always be edited out.

The most important thing is to keep at it. After the first two videos or so, the process should become pretty smooth and comfortable. Have fun!
