Dentrix Export Procedure
These steps are used to export a full patient database for your email campaigns. Please contact us (800-689-6434) if you have any questions.
Open Office Manager | Letters & Custom Lists | Misc....
2. Highlight Patient report (by filters) and click the Edit button.
3. In the top center, you see a field labeled “List File Name”. Change that to something like “PRACTICENAME-Patient-Export-DATE”
4. On the right side of the new popup box, you will see a column labeled Data Fields
5. Patient will have a check next to it already, but if it doesn’t, please check the empty box.
6. To the left of the “Patient” checkbox, there is a little plus symbol to expand some options.

7. After expanding Patient options list, deselect any fields that we will not need. We only require the first and last name, and email address. Then click “OK” in the bottom right corner.
8. Now you will see a smaller popup that was from step 2. Click the button/option labeled “Open in Excel”

9. Once opened in excel, go to File - Save As, select where on your PC you can easily find the saved file (desktop is a common choice), and change the file type to “CSV - Comma Separated Values” and if need be, change the file name here as well.
10. Click save, find the file where you chose to save it, and attach it to an email to be sent to solutions@mydentalagency.com
